Pranamam the elderly group of CEVA initiated “Bhupalana” – a nature farming to produce poison free vegetables, at CEVA Bhavan. This initiative of the elders aims to ensure healthy living for families, society and the future generations. The programme was inaugurated on 6th January 2015 by Mararikulam Grama Panchayath President, Adv. D. Priyesh which was presided by Rev. Fr. Varghese Vithaythil CMI Vicar General of CMI Congregation. Mr. K.V.P. Krishnakumar, Chairman, Standing Committee for tax, Cochin Corporation, Mr. Benny Joseph, Convener, Janapaksham, Rev. Fr. Jose Thachil CMI, Vice President, CEVA attended the programme.
Farming was initiated by more than 50 elder parents in a half acre land situated in the heart of Kochi. Through this venture, the elderly want to prove that age is not a barrier to contribute to the betterment of society. With the leadership of Fr. Jince and CEVA Team, this elderly group becomes a role model for everyone, to be with mother earth and promote natural farming for a healthy generation.
