The Department of Social Apostolate in the Preshitha Province carries out its social work activities mainly through Preshitha Service Society registered in 1981, which has implemented many major Integrated Rural Development Projects in 151 villages of 49 Panchayaths. At present in Pollachi, we have a 30-beds Preshitha Rural Hospital with its mobile clinic services to tribal community in Aanaimalai and Udumalai blocks. Through eight Cottage and Village Industries employment is provided to nearly 60 persons. Two Agro service centers promote agriculture and meet the needs of farmers in two blocks.
Our major activities are focused on; Tribal & Migrant Development, Health services, Care & School for Disabled Children (35 Children), Care for Abandoned Children (28 Children), Two Homes for Destitute (95 + 35 Persons), IGP for Women ( 22 persons), De-Addiction Centre including destitute (50 Persons), Childline, Cultural Center, Counseling, Letter Ministry, and Chalice Tribal Project for Children Development.
